Built in 1899, the Hartman was originally an old country church.  It now serves its guests as a one-of-a-kind venue for intimate events such as weddings, bridal showers, baptisms, baby showers, private dinners, corporate meetings, workshops, etc..

Located in York Region, just north of Toronto but still in the GTA, in the town of Mount Albert, the Hartman provides a unique destination that's close to the city but that has all the charm of a rural landscape.  It combines the antiquity of the original church structure with some contemporary architectural modifications.  The interior is a mix of modern eclectic and elegant vintage. Its high ceilings, white walls, original character details including wood entrance doors with gothic stained glass windows and cast iron and brass spiral staircase, along with its fascinating history, come together to provide a warm, inviting, and rustically-elegant atmosphere with a tremendous positive energy.  

The private gardens are the perfect addition to any event adding exterior space for a spring to fall outdoor wedding ceremony or reception, a barbecue, or simply an area for those guests wanting to take in some of that fresh country air during an otherwise indoor event.  It's also the perfect space for a larger TENTED event for guests up to 100.

Another great perk to hosting your event at the Hartman is the bridal suite used mainly for weddings.  Once used as the original church hall, attached to the main space at the rear of the building, today, we have incorporated this private getaway for our couples to use and enjoy before and/or after their scheduled event time.  It's perfect for getting ready pre-wedding for brides and brides maids and for evening accommodations for the couple after the reception.
